Complaining about a bet
If you have a complaint about a bet, then you should take this up, in the first instance, with the bookmaker concerned. If the matter is not resolved that way then you should contact the Independent Betting Adjudication Service (IBAS) which acts as an impartial adjudicator on disputes that arise between betting/gambling operators and their customers, after they have been through the operator’s own internal dispute procedures and if a deadlock exists.
IBAS rulings are binding on all parties, without prejudice to any legal proceedings that may be commenced subsequently.
Complaining about an operator
The gambling sector is regulated by the Gambling Commission under the 2005 Gambling Act.
Complaining about an advert
Like all advertising, gambling adverts are broadcast or published in line with the Advertising Standards Authority codes of practice.
The Senet Group is an independent body set up to promote responsible gambling standards and ensure that the marketing of gambling is socially responsible.
